Came across a great quote this morning in the book Mind Gym:
“Others can help motivate you, but basically it must come from you, and it must be a constant desire to do your very best at all times and under any circumstances.”- Joe DiMaggio
There are a couple components of doing my best under any circumstance:
1. A foundation of consistent, relentlessly boring action
2. Occasional sprints of massive action
It’s easy to gravitate toward one or other, declaring that one of is ME and one isn’t.
I think the best entrepreneurs cycle back and forth based on the needs of the business.
That’s a lot harder, because when the massive action sprint is over, you have to go right back to relentlessly boring consistency.
